William R. Smith, Jr., 96, of National Park, NJ passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.
A man that everyone could count on and highly respected by his peers, William was a friend to everyone. William's personality was a little bit of everything but mainly funny and good spirited. William loved to read books, travel and document his travels by taking photos. He enjoyed visiting different chapels, swimming and he loved to sit around the table on the holidays and joke with the family.
He is the beloved husband of Martha E. (Kimley) Smith; Father of William R. Smith III and his wife Linda, Suzan Smith, Robert Smith and Tracy Smith Kible and step-father to Mario, Gussie, Eddie and Donoto Marchione; Father-in-Law to Corey Marchione; Treasured grandfather of Tanya, Nicky, Samantha, Domenic and Diana Marchione, Katie, Valarie, Melanie, Alyssa, Kitty Smith, Blaze Jr., and Taylor Kible; Cherished great-grandfather to Destiny Marchione.
He is predeceased by his parents, William R. Sr., and Margaret.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 5pm – 7pm at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Funeral Services and United States Military Honors for William will take place at 7pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be held privately at the request of the family.
