Vera A. Winter was born in North Dakota, to Dale and Ann Anderson, and she went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on April 24, 2025.
She graduated from Rolette High School in North Dakota, where she was class president and a cheerleader for two years.
She worked for Union National Bank in Minot, ND, where she met Gordon Winter. They married in 1952, and moved to Sacramento, CA, where she briefly worked for Bank of America.
The family moved to Marysville, CA, and then to Yuba City, CA, where she worked for Wells Fargo Bank until 1979.
Vera was active in Womens Ministries at Calvary Christian Center. She also sang in the church choir for many years.
Her husband, Gordon Winter, was the Business Manager at Calvary Christian Center and she helped him with banking responsibilities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon in 2023. She is survived by 3 children, Paula (Cliff), Connie (Barry) and Mike (Julie); five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She always faced life's hardships with great faith in God and a positive attitude, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
A graveside service will be at Sutter Cemetery May 5, 2025, at 10 AM.
