Ed Burki
May 19th, 1955 - April 18th, 2025
Edward "Ed" Joseph Burki of Sun City Center, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on April 18, 2025. Ed was born on May 29, 1955 in Queens, New York to the late Marcel Edward Burki and Luise Rieser.
Ed earned his master’s degree at St John’s University. He went on to hold a marketing career in the field of aeronautics. Ed appreciated all genres of music, all different makes and models of cars, and the A10 airplane. He enjoyed participating in the Kings Point Sportsman Club in his free time.
Ed was a kidney and pancreas transplant recipient for over two decades and was a team member of the Transplant Recipients International Organization (TRIO). Ed participated in multiple events for TRIO, including performing the National Anthem at the Mets baseball stadium with his daughter, Christine.
Ed is survived by Christine Burki, his only daughter and next of kin, and numerous friends who loved him.
