Nancy Kristene Stapley, 77, of Danville, CA, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, due to complications from open-heart surgery.

Nancy was born to Robert and Lorraine McMann on March 7, 1948, in Culver City, CA. The oldest of four children, she grew up in Reseda, CA, and married Stephen Stapley on January 25, 1969. They were married for 56 years.

Nancy lived a life full of love for her family, her faith, and her passion for music. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life and found a profound peace and hope in the gospel. She spent most of her life singing and playing piano. First with her father and sisters, then throughout her life with various choirs. One of the great joys of her life was spending time with her children and their friends accompanying the choirs at Monte Vista High School in Danville. She had an unassuming, comforting presence that put everyone at ease.

Nancy is survived by her husband Steve, their 7 children and their spouses, plus their 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Eileen Yoder and Laura Carr, and many dear extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lorraine McMann, and her brother, Paul “Brooks” McMann.
