Mary Adamson
July 13th, 1940 - April 30th, 2025
Our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great Gram, Mary Ellen Adamson, went to walk with our Lord very early in the morning of April 30, 2025.
Mary Ellen was born to Stella and Omer Evans on July 13, 1940 in Nampa, Idaho. She spent her life in Idaho and married her love, Dale W. Adamson, at 18 on April 9, 1959. She lost Dale to cancer in December of 1996 and remained true to him all these many years.
Dale and Mary had two sons that they loved very much. You couldn’t go visit without her whipping out pics of her boys or wanting to introduce you to them.
Mary’s oldest son, Jesse D. Adamson lives in the Outback of Australia with his wife, Sandi, and although the distance is great, Jesse called often to check on her and just chat with her. Mary’s youngest son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Renee’, were her go to for everything. They talked on the phone daily and Billy kept her stocked up on all her favorite things. Mom was particularly fond of fingernail polish, chocolates, cookies and word search puzzle books. Billy and his mom had a very special relationship, and he will be missing her for many years to come. Billy is married to Renee’, who loved and cared for Mary as her very own mom for almost 45 years.
Mary is proceeded in death by both her parents, and three siblings: Jule and Jimmy Evans and Sherry Rupp, as well as her dear husband, Dale. She has been reunited with her family now.
Mary Ellen is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Jesse D. and Sandi and Billy and Renee’; 8 grandchildren: Shari Adamson, Micheal Adamson (Jane), Priscilla Adamson, Matthew Adamson, Kayla Adamson, Sydney Rayner, Alyssa Pecora and Cody Adamson. Mary adored her many great grandchildren: Alexandra Walsh (Keagan), Blake Adamson Avery (Shari’s) – Payton and Denver Adamson, Jacub Korzen and Tiggy Turner (Mikey and Jane’s) – Skyler Adamson, Presley and Charlotte Scaggs (Priscilla’s). She loved them so much and delighted that they all called her GG (for great gram), she loved spoiling them with sweets and treats when they came to visit and inevitably, they would leave her house with something she had given them.
She was also known as Beby to a great many people, including in-laws on the Adamson side, nieces and nephews on both sides. She cared deeply for and spoke of often all the relatives near and far, in particular her sister Sherry’s boys: Stevie, Jamie, Tony, and Daniel Rupp, whom she raised after Sherry’s passing.
Mary loved her family, more than anything else in the world. She had the biggest heart for everyone and often could be found giving away her own food and clothing to someone who needed it. Mom was always wanting you to take something home when you came visiting and even after specifically saying no, you would find yourself walking out her door with something!
And if you knew mom, you knew she could be a feisty old gal…often telling you how it is and making you laugh while doing it! Mom fought until the very end to stay here with us, but the Lord was calling her home. She was surrounded by her family, holding her, loving her and praying over her to the end. Rest in peace Momma, you will be missed.
We will be having a graveside service at the Kuna cemetery on Wed. the 7th at 11:00 AM, Accent Funeral Homes in Meridian (www.AccentFuneral.com for obituary) will be providing her service and Pastor Adam Cook of Awaken church will be officiating.
We will follow with a potluck memorial gathering at the Kuna Park. Chicken, chips, some salads, and water will be provided. If you want to contribute, please do, if not, no worries. Please bring your own chairs. Please reach out to Renee’, Shari, or Priscilla with any questions and feel free to pass this along to mom’s friends and extended family that may not use social media.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
