Gerry Eastman
June 9th, 1929 - April 29th, 2025
On April 29th, Gerry Eastman went home. Home to the embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Home to a joyful reunion with so many loved ones that’s she’s missed so much over the years. Home to a place that in our hearts, we can see her smiling. Graveside services for Gerry will be Monday, May 12 at 11:00 AM at Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
Gerry was born June 9, 1929 to Denzel & Irma Beach in Upland, California. She shared many amazing stories with her family about losing their home during the depression when she was a child and spending the rest of her childhood roaming the Sierra Nevada mountains while her father and mother panned gold for a living. They wintered at Bidwell Bar, where she attended elementary school. Gerry was a graduate of Chico High School.
Gerry was predeceased by her parents, her brother Don, her sisters Myrtle, Leta, Lillian & Madelyn, her beloved husband Larry Eastman, her stepson William Eastman and many others that she held dear, including her dear friend & companion Jack Mallory.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses Sheri & Chris Baker and Larry & Lari Jean Day, her grandchildren Jason & Evin Duggins, Heather Miller and Jared Day and her Great-Grandchildren Evelyn & Alan Miller and Lillian Duggins. She is also survived & remembered by many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as by the Mallory family who were always so good to her and considered her to be part of their family.
A special thank you to all the caring helpers at Butte Home Health & Hospice for their wonderful assistance in Gerry’s final days. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to the incredible Hospice team at Butte Home Health and Hospice.
