Robert "Bob” Nichols Graham, 79 completed his earthly journey the morning of October 25 at home with family after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bob was born in Dallas, TX on September 21, 1941 to Leroy G. and Clara (Martin) Graham. As an only child, he grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959. After graduation, Bob attended Texas Tech, then transferred and graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He and his father operated a nursery and landscaping business and a pet store in Dallas. Bob married Beverly Roberts in 1963. In 1969, they moved from Dallas to the Big Thompson canyon near Loveland. Bob helped build their home in Cedar Cove. He was an active member of and served on the board of the Loveland Rural volunteer Fire Protection District for many years. Bob and Beverly shared two daughters, Theresa Marie and Lisa Lynette. Tragically, Beverly, Theresa, Lisa and Bob’s mother, Clara, died in the Big Thompson Canyon flood on July 31, 1976. On September 2, 1977, Bob married Michele Stetzner. They raised two wonderful daughters, Ashley Michele and Meredith Anne. Bob worked for Winograd’s Steel and Supply in Greeley as Vice President of Operations for many years, followed by several years at Super Vac in Loveland and Mayo Industries in Johnstown as purchasing manager. He retired in 2009. Bob loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; sometimes fishing with flies and lures he tied himself in streams, lakes and over the ice. He enjoyed hiking, birding, camping, and just being in nature. He was an excellent woodworker making many beautiful pieces and enjoyed wood carving and working with his hands and was also a skillful handyman. Above all that, he loved his family more than anything on earth and they loved him right back. Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Michele, daughters Ashley Graham McGarvey and Meredith Graham, mother-in-law Mary Ellen Stetzner, sister-in law and husband Lydia and Jim McInelly, niece, nephews, cousins and the two people who made his heart beat, his grandchildren Sullivan and Madeline McGarvey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Beverly and his daughters Theresa and Lisa. We give special thanks to Banner Hospice especially Sue Sabas, a guardian angel in the flesh. Services for Bob will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Mary Catholic School at 2222 23rd Ave. Greeley, CO. 80634. Due to Covid restrictions, face masks are required and there will be no gathering after the services. Private family inurnment.
