October 21st, 1927 - April 29th, 2025
Joyce Osterkamp: Born 10.21.1927….went to heaven 4-29-2025
Joyce Osterkamp: Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma…This woman wore many different hats in her 97 1/2 years on earth… all with faith, dignity, grace, laughter and love. She was the center of our family. Unconditional love for all, never judging and always accepting everyone. She taught us right from wrong, to say please and thank you and be kind. She taught us faith and our belief in our Lord. The 10 commandments were her rules in life.
Growing up, we kids had a very good upbringing with many family adventure together. Weekend boating with Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends. Snowmobiling all winter, Friday nights at the YMCA, coming home to watching Tarzan and making homemade pizzas. Mom making homemade bread, buns and Carmel rolls every Wednesday, so it would be hot when we got home from school. (Anyone in our way getting off of the bus was in serious trouble) we couldn’t wait. We had an orchard of 13 apple tree, plum trees, grape vines and a pear tree. We picked and peeled while mom baked apple crisp, apple butter, applesauce, apple pie etc. She would freeze the pies, so we had hot pie all winter long. We made homemade caramels, popcorns balls and pulled taffy. Traditions we will carry throughout lives.
Our mom was an amazing mom. You would just love to hang out with her. She adored all her grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with each never missing an important event or sports game of any kind if she didn’t have to.
She was more than you could ever write on paper.
She is survived by all these people that loved her so much. What a legacy she left!!!!
