Joanna Vigil, 75, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. This obituary is to remember a great woman, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother born on July 3, 1949 in Albuquerque, NM. Born to Jose Nabor and Erlinda Adelaida Lucero. She leaves behind a son, Robert Lucero, daughter, Andrea Vigil, and grandson, Christian Gutierrez. This is just a few to mention from a large family that she loved and was very proud of. Joanna will be remembered for her great cooking, not holding back her opinion, and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth and had a solid word of advice even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. She will be sorely missed and survived by her brothers, Michael, Philip, Nabor, and sister Linda. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman and brother Perfilio. All who cared for her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, and undying love. A funeral service will take place on Friday May 30th, 2025 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Assumption with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
