Basil (Buddy) Andrew Chismar, age 85, of Kingsport, TN passed away on April 30, 2025, at his residence. 

 

He was born on September 4, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Andrew and Rachel Chismar. Buddy worked for U.S Airways for 37 years, following his retirement he was successful in network marketing companies. 

 

Buddy is survived by his wife of 61 years Dolly Chismar; sons, Thomas Chismar, Ronald (Regina) Chismar, Raymond (Angela) Chismar, in addition to step son, Greg (Lori) Revak; grandchildren, Kristen Chismar, Hayden Chismar, Brenna Chismar, Tyler Revak, Anne Chismar; sister, Mary Lou Kuloszewski; brothers, Andrew Chismar (Dianne) and David Chismar (Marie); several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12 pm to 1 pm at St Dominic’s Catholic Church, 2517 N. John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport. A funeral mass will follow at 1 pm with Father Michael Cummins officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local charity or to your local animal shelter.
