Dennis William Russell, age 79, passed away peacefully in his home in Port Charlotte, FL on May 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 29, 1945, to Lester and Marjorie Russell. Dennis was educated through the Lynn Public School System. Following graduation he enrolled in a Trade School where he was employed by the Otis Elevator Company, formerly know as Delta Elevator Company. He remained there until his retirement in 2003. 

Dennis was the beloved husband, of 36 years, to Judith (Campagna) Russell. He was a devoted father to Alison Falconi (Jamie), Melissa McDonald (Vinny), Lynne Pointon (Dean) and the late Jason Hamilton Russell. Brother-in-law, Provincial Minister, Robert Campagna, O.F.M. 

Dennis was a loving grandfather to Mark Pointon and Matthew Pointon both of Port Charlotte, FL. He is brother to Carol Gambale, Duncan Russell, the late Lenard Russell and the late Patricia Pothier (Mike), late nephew (Derek).

Dennis’s journey on earth has concluded, but his legacy of love and family will continue to flourish in the hearts of all those he touched.

Visiting hours at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 South McCall Road Englewood, FL Thursday 4 to 6pm. Funeral service at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd Port Charlotte, FL Friday at 11:30am. The burial will follow the service.

The family wishes to thank the many care-givers, Hospice, and medical personnel who made Dennis comfortable throughout this illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer/ Dementia Foundation.
