Renato Bruno Monighetti passed away at his home on April 19, 2025, in Salinas, California, at the age of 95.  Born on November 29, 1929, in Salinas, Renato spent his entire life rooted in the community where he was born.

Renato served honorably in the United State Army from April 1951 to March 1953 and was a veteran of the Korean War.  His service stands as a testament to his dedication and commitment during a pivotal time in history.

He was a proud member of both the Swiss-American Club and the Swiss Rifle Club.

Renato is survived by his brother, Roland L. Monighetti.  He is predeceased by his brother, Peter F. Monighetti, and sister, Yvonne M. Monighetti.

May Renato's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life lived with quiet strength and enduring presence.

A Funeral Mass will be held on May 9, 2025, at11:00 AM at Madonna del Sasso, 320 E. Laurel Dr. followed by a graveside service at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA.

There will also be a Celebration of Life luncheon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at BJ's Restautant, 1730 N. Main St. Salinas, CA.
