Mary W. Price passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born and raised in Stony Point, New York, Mary was predeceased by her parents, William H. Leahy and Winifred Davis Leahy, as well as her brother, William Leahy.

Mary attended Ladycliff High School and Ladycliff College in Highland Falls, New York, later earning a Master's degree in English Education from Syracuse University.  She devoted her career to teaching eight-grade English at James A. Farley Middle School, retiring after 25 years of passionate dedication to shaping young minds.

Mary is survived by her two children and seven beloved grandchildren.  Her daughter, Cheryl, and son-in-law, Pete Hubert, are parents to Peter and Cassidy Hubert.  Her son, William Price, and his wife, Colleen, children Lindsay, Alivia, Nicholas, Will, and Conor Price.  Mary cherished her role as a grandmother and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren with shopping trips, travel adventures, and manicures - believing every girl deserves to have her nails done.

An avid fan of the New York Giants, Mary also enjoyed boating, traveling, reading, and socializing with friends.  She proudly considered herself a “Shopping Queen” and spent many weekends shopping with her mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister-in-law Gen, and niece Kathy.

Mary spent many winters in Punta Gorda, Florida, as a “snowbird” alongside her mother before permanently relocating there from Stony Point in 2018.  She deeply loved the tropical charm of Punta Gorda and embraced the community of friends who followed her south.  Mary, along with close friends Judy, Geri and Gracie, was often found enjoying cocktails, laughter, shopping excursions, and local shows.  She also hosted an annual Super Bowl party to ensure the men were never left out of the fun.

Mary's faithful companion, her eight-pound dog Bella, brought her years of joy and companionship and served as a devoted watch dog and friend.

She was a proud member of the New York State Teachers Association, the Elks Lodge of Punta Gorda, and an Auxiliary member of the Stony Point Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
