It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice Kennard Hill, III, who returned to the Lord on April 26, 2025. Maurice entered this world in Mesa, Arizona, on November 6, 2013, embraced by the loving care of his parents, Teresa Frances Hill (formerly Sanchez) and Maurice Kennard Hill, Jr.Maurice accepted Christ at a young age.Maurice found joy in bringing joy to others, most of all to his sisters Nayeli and Noa Hill in his role as a devoted big brother. He was a bright and friendly student at BASIS Charter School Phoenix South where he was a member of the National Junior Honors Society. An enthusiastic athlete, Maurice played multiple sports, but his true passion was for the arts. Maurice discovered peace through creative expression. He brought stories to life through comics, music, and stage as a writer, illustrator, and performer.His sister, Nayeli, lovingly shares, “He was well-loved and a great son, friend, and big brother.” Maurice was indeed a cherished son, brother, nephew, and cousin. He was also an esteemed scholar, fearless leader, and loyal friend.Baptized in faith, Maurice loved the Lord and has returned to Him far too soon, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
