Marion Stokes Hamer

It is with great sadness that we announce that Marion Stokes Hamer, 96, of Suntree, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025.  Marion was born on January 1, 1929 in New Brunswick, New Jersey and has resided in Suntree since 1991. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Bill, with whom she shared many wonderful years.  She is survived by her children: Nancy, Robin and Bill; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous pride and happiness. She was a talented craftsperson, spending countless hours knitting, creating beautiful pieces for those she loved.  An active woman, Marion enjoyed golfing, swimming in her backyard pool, and setting out on cruises with her dear friends, always eager for new experiences. A celebration of Marion’s life will be held on May 12, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers (https://t2t.org/) in memory of Marion to honor the service of our military, a humanitarian effort she cared for very much. Her children would like to thank Senior Partners caregivers who cared for Mom so lovingly during her final days.
