In Loving Memory

Arnulfo Robles Treviño passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2025, in Tehachapi, California, at the age of 75. He was born on May 27, 1949, in La Villa, Texas, to Jacobo Treviño and Crecenciana Robles.

Arnulfo and his family followed the crops from Holland, Michigan to La Villa, Texas, settling in Holland permanently in the 1960’s. It was while working in the migrant camps and attending local Tejano dances that he met the love of his life, Sylvia, with whom he would share 53 wonderful years of marriage. A proud father to Rebecca, Arnulfo Jr., and Andrew, whom he dearly loved.

Arnulfo lived a life grounded in faith, service, and respect. He was a jack of all trades — a skilled mechanic, truck driver, and field worker — and a lifelong learner who embraced education, technology, and growth. He received his mechanical training in farming equipment while migrating with the family.  He later used his training to work on hydraulic farming equipment in Salinas, CA, where he would spend most of his adult life.

A true American hero, Arnulfo served honorably in the United States Army, in the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, during the Vietnam War. His bravery earned him the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart, and the prestigious Bronze Star.

Known for his selflessness, even to strangers, Arnulfo always seemed ready to step into action without hesitation. He once saved his nephew who was losing oxygen due to choking, he saved a man who fell off of a cliff in Arroyo Seco, and he rescued twins who were drowning in the harbor at Moss Landing. His selflessness extended beyond a hero's duty, as he poured his love into his family and friends alike.

Arnulfo loved fishing, camping, watching the news, and proudly standing for his political beliefs. Through it all, his deep faith in God guided him, giving him strength through every trial.

He is survived by his son Andrew (Lourdes), grandchildren Anthony (Miranda), Jeremiah, Samantha (Danny) Joshua, Serina, Gavin, and Isabella; great-grandchildren Elias and Zara; his siblings,  Francisca Bullard, Sylvia Vallejo, Jacobo “Jake” (Mary) Trevino, Teodoro “Ted” (Tina) Trevino, Yolanda (Robert) Morales, Camila (Jim) Looby, Elidio Hilario “Lalo” Trevino, Jose Guadalupe “Joe” Trevino, Martin (Kim) Trevino, Maria del Carmen Trevino, Jose Luis Trevino, Sofia M. (Julian) Gonzales, countless godchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Arnulfo was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clemente, wife Sylvia, daughter Rebecca, and son Arnulfo Jr.

He leaves behind a legacy of courage, faith, love, and respect. We find comfort knowing he is now reunited with his loved ones and resting in God's care.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
