Douglas Stubbs Sr, a loving father and husband died from natural causes on April 26, 2025 at the age of 75 at his residence in Payette, Idaho

 

Doug is survived by his wife, Tomasa Stubbs (nee Gonzales), his son Doug Stubbs Jr., Grandchildren; Morgan, Jackson and Avah, other family members include, sister Jackie and brother Jeff Stubbs, numerous nephews and one niece.

 

Doug was born in Bakersfield, California on July 29, 1949.  He grew up in Jamieson, Oregon and attended high school in Vale, Oregon.  He traveled the Western United States for a time, and then during his travels he met and married a restaurant worker or waitress named Tomasa on June 24, 1976.  On October 29, 1977, he welcomed his son Douglas Stubbs Jr. who he loved very much.

 

Doug was a devoted father, husband and an avid fisherman.  He was also amateur landscape architect beautifying his own back yard with ponds, and waterfalls. He was a friendly man and often conversed with strangers over coffee.  He will be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
