On April 21st, 2025, our beloved mother Verna Lea Robinson (Seitz, Baker) passed away at the age of 90. Verna is survived by six of her children, Julie Moore, Janel Roberson, Richard Seitz, Robert Seitz, Douglas Seitz and Donald Seitz, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Esther Hoagland, her two sisters Donna Wood and Betty Wilson-Griggs, her husbands Donald Seitz, Frank Baker, and Rex Robinson, sons Jimmy Seitz, Timmy Seitz and her daughter Jodee Schreiner.

Verna Lea was born April 2nd, 1935, in Wilson, Idaho. She was the oldest of three girls. The doctor was called to the farm to deliver her. She always stated she had a wonderful childhood. The farm is where she learned about hard work, love of family, and the importance of a positive attitude.

She attended Owyhee Elementary School and Melba High School. At the age of 12 she got rheumatic fever and was bedridden for an entire year.  During this time, she developed a love of reading and music. She said she learned more that year than if she had gone to school.

After graduating high school, she married and raised seven children. Always a hard worker, when her husband became disabled, she took several college courses which enabled her to be hired by Boise Cascade. She even took a second job on the weekends at the Boisean Motel. She never complained.  Her goal was to make sure her kids were taken care of.

After retirement, she finally got to do something she always wanted to do, and that was travel. If anyone even mentioned the word travel, she was eager to go. She traveled to almost all 50 States and many destinations overseas. She also loved to volunteer in her community.

Throughout her long life her biggest joy was her family! At every family event she never failed to state that she was overjoyed to be with everyone. And, she never failed to miss a photo opportunity. Everyone felt her care and love.

Services will be held at Summers Funeral Home in Meridian, Idaho, on May 30th at 10:30 a.m. with a reception following. Everyone is welcome.
