William M.  Admire

William "Bill" M. Admire, November 3, 1940-May 2, 2025, Jackson, California.

William Admire lived a full and beautiful life with his wife, Sharon Admire, in Amador County. William was a pillar in his community, volunteered his time

on several professional associations, and served as a California Highway Patrolman. He 

had a passion for vintage cars, playing poker, and cherished time with his family and 

friends.William passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2025, with his wife, Sharon Admire, by his side. William was born on November 3, 1940, in Upland, California, the child of Vera and Charles Admire. He had two brothers and one sister.

William graduated from high school in Ontario, California, and then attended the University of California, Riverside, studying Pre-Med. He soon changed his major to Criminal Justice and transferred to Modesto and Delta College.

William worked in the criminal justice field for 34 years, including 31 years as a California Highway Patrol officer. Patrolman. In 1992, he was awarded Peace Officer of the Year for his dedication and service. William served as Chairman of the CAHP Foundation, Director of the Amador County Secret Witness Program, and President of the Fire & Police Enjoying Retirement (FAPERS) group. William retired from Law Enforcement in 1995. After retirement, William continued to serve his

community by working for the Department of Internal Affairs and the Inspector General's office.

William married Sharon Admire on May 15, 1977, in Carson City, Nevada, and resided in Amador County for 47 years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Admire; daughter, Kim Admire; Stepdaughter, Donna Phillips and husband, Todd; Stepson, Randy Grove and wife, Carol; Stepson, Mike Grove (deceased); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

William's reputation for honor, integrity, and wisdom made him a highly respected community member, father, and husband. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Per William's wishes, there will be no services.
