James William “Buzz” Allmon Jr.

James William Allmon Jr., lovingly known as Buzz to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado, surrounded by his family. He was 49 years old. 

Buzz was born on July 6, 1975, at the Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina. A dedicated and hardworking framer by trade, he took great pride in his craft and was known for his sharp wit and generous spirit. 

Above all, Buzz was a family man. He was the proud father of four children: Ryan, Ashley, Holly, and Kylie. He was a loving grandfather to Heusy, his 3 year old grandson, who brought him endless joy. Buzz was the beloved son of Grace and a cherished brother to Katherine, Wesley, Jamie, and Debra. 

Buzz had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, taking drives to see where the road would go, and hiking through the mountains— places where he felt most at peace. He was quick with a joke and never missed a chance to say his favorite phrase: “It’s good to be the king!”

He leaves behind a legacy of strength and love. Buzz will be remembered for the way he lived: fully, honestly, and with heart. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 31, at 5pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, in Melbourne FL, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him. 

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
