Ray Ellis Epting
October 29th, 1942 - April 30th, 2025
Ray E. Epting, 82, of Lexington, SC went to his heavenly home on April 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born and raised in Gilbert SC, he retired from Columbia Farms (formerly Southeastern Poultry) as a production supervisor. In his later years, he worked for Lexington County as a part time attendant at one of their recycling centers.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Judy of the home, son, Jay Howell (Star) of Maryland, daughter, Tammy Waters (Marty) of Leesville SC, grandchildren, Amanda Hathway, Jennifer Ledbetter, Jason Scott (Caroline), eight great grands whom he loved with all his heart, brother, Hank Epting (Edith), nieces and nephews.
Mr. Epting was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Ellis Epting, sisters, Thera, Cornelia & Rebecca and brothers, William & Billy.
The family wants to thank Pathway Hospice, with special thank you to Nikki & Shaun.
A celebration of Ray's life will be May 25, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Freedom Baptist Church, 2028 Mt. Bethel Garmany Rd., Newberry, SC 29108.
