Mary Babcock passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. She was 100 years old. Mary was born in Haverstraw, NY to Anthony and Mary (nee Proscia) Toscano. She was married to Leonard C. Babcock for 62 years before he passed away in July 2007. She belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the North Rockland Seniors. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son Robert, and his wife of Haverstraw, Sister Angie Cummings of West Haverstraw, Brother Donald of Stony Point; five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard (Lenny) C. Babcock, son Gary Babcock, brother Louis Toscano, and sisters Anna Phelps, Rose (Gerald) Frappier, Antoinette (Ralph) Naples, and Theresa (Henry) Streibel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Son Funeral Home in Haverstraw, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2025, 10am at St. Peter's Church followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/.
