Daniel Holtzman
October 26th, 1938 - May 9th, 2025
Daniel C. Holtzman, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1938, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Albert and Magdelina Holtzman (née Ackerman). Daniel was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and enduring love for his family.
He graduated from St. Ferdinand High School in Ferdinand, Indiana, and later attended Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky. His lifelong pursuit of knowledge, community, and prayer reflected a deep devotion to living a meaningful and service-oriented life.
A passionate coin collector, Daniel took great pride in his hobby over the years. But what truly brought him joy was spending time with his grandchildren—cheering them on at events, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their everyday lives. Prayer and spiritual reflection were cornerstones of his daily life.
Daniel is lovingly remembered by his children and their spouses: Yvette (Luke) Ardis, Jason (Felicita) Holtzman, Nick (Myra) Holtzman, and Peter Holtzman. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Jacob Ardis, Jessica Ardis, Joey Holtzman, Estella Lambie, Nico Holtzman, Chase Holtzman, Lemmy Holtzman, Iommi Holtzman, and Nia Holtzman. He is also survived by his brother, Tim (Ida) Holtzman, and his dear friend of over 20 years, Karen Pierce, who was by his side in the end.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years, Nilda Holtzman, and his beloved son, Dan A. Holtzman (Karla Holtzman).
Daniel’s legacy lives on through the love he poured into his family and the faith that shaped his life.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Special Olympics – Waukesha Spring City or St. William Parish, two causes that were close to Daniel’s heart.
He will be forever remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love for his family.
