Herbert L Duniven

Herbert L Duniven originally from Amarillo Texas, passed peacefully in his sleep on May 1st, 2025, with his daughter at his bedside.

Herb joined the US Navy at age 17. He was a part of the US Naval Air Corp serving in WWII as an aviation ordinanceman and port waist turret gunner. He was later promoted to Ensign while serving the US Naval Active Ready Reserve.

He married Margaret A. Hinds on January 16, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM. They were both very active in their children, grandchildren and great-grand children's lives. He was the manager of data processing for Mtn. Bell Telephone & Telegraph until his retirement December 1983.

He served as President in the Historical Radio Society of Colorado and remaind an active member for many years.

Herb is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years. He is survived by his 3 children, Edward Duniven of Tualatin, OR, Victoria Reynolds of Colorado Springs, CO and Rebecca Jackson of Denver, CO. His 4 grandchildren Jason Morud, Ryan Reynolds and Ashleigh Witherite all of Colorado Springs and Courtney Wray of Calhan, Colorado. And his 12 great-grandchildren all in Colorado.

Herb will be greatly missed by one and all. Funeral services will be May 28, 2025 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Rotunda C at 1 o’clock pm.
