Leonard "Len" Joseph Gizinski, Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Len Joseph Gizinski, who departed this life on May 10, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on March 13, 1961, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Len was known for his remarkable spirit, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Len proudly served both in the Army and Air Force, showcasing his commitment to his country and its values. His professional journey continued at the Health Care Authority from December 1, 2018, until his recent passing, as a Senior IT Specialist, after previously serving as an IT Specialist for the Department of Corrections from August 1, 2001, to November 30, 2018.
Len possessed a passion for technology, nurtured by his education. He graduated from Liberty High School (Bethlehem, PA) in 1979. Later he studied software engineering at Albright College. He was respected and admired by colleagues for his technical expertise and his ability to forge deep connections, leaving a lasting impact on all he encountered.
A creative soul, Len was a devoted writer and enjoyed sharing laughter with those around him. He authored science fiction novels, including "The Metal Within" and "Angels," and shared his love of storytelling through his hobbies of reading, singing, and telling jokes. His enthusiasm for life extended to his love for hiking and board games, which he enjoyed with family and friends.
Len's legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Ruth Gizinski, whom he married on December 12, 2021. He is also survived by his sons Jon Gizinski of Las Vegas, NV, and Christopher Gizinski of Tumwater, WA, as well as his step-sons Josh Stout and Michael Stout, both of Tumwater. In addition, Len leaves behind his cherished daughters, Lorie Manix of Tumwater, Amber Gizinski of Centralia, and Bethany Gizinski of Tumwater. Len is also survived by his brother Joe Gizinski of Northampton, PA, his sisters Leeann Edinger and Sue Litz of Bethlehem, PA, along with numerous other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Gizinski Sr. and Cecilia Gizinski, as well as his sister Pam McCourt and brother Brian Gizinski. Also a son, Andrew Gizinski who died as a baby.
A celebration of Len's life will be held on Friday, May 16, at 4:00 PM PST at Woodland Church, located at 4205 Lacey Blvd SE, Lacey, WA 98503 or if you cannot attend in person you can watch the event with this link:
