Allan Dean Adams passed peacefully in his sleep to meet his Lord & Savior during the early hours of May 5, 2025. Allan was born on October 31, 1956 making his birthday an easy one to remember. Allan was born in Eugene, Oregon and lived in Oregon the majority of his life. He attended Churchill High School. Allan joined the Army and served in Job Corps following high school.Allan was the youngest child of the 3 sons of his birth family. His biological parents divorced within a few years of his birth then his Dad married his stepmother who had 4 children from a previous marriage. His Dad adopted those 4 children and the Adams family grew to 7 children and their parents.Allan worked in various positions in the Restaurant service industry, laundry service, warehouse service and even spent a few years as a painter. Allan loved the outdoors especially the coast. It was his favorite place to go.Allan enjoyed cooking and enjoyed good food. He went through some hard times in his life but always worked to make the best of the situations he found himself in. The last few years of his life he found a lot of happiness in making wiser decisions and trying to enjoy what he had. He bought a rescue dog "Koji" and loved taking Koji for walks and just having him around. Shortly after he got Koji Allan was diagnosed with terminal cancer yet he kept Koji as long as he could then allowed another rescue family to adopt him. It was very difficult for Allan but he knew he couldn't take care of Koji like the adorable rambunctious dog needed.Allan was preceded in death by his father Virgil Edward Adams. He is survived by his biological mother Carrol Varela and his stepmother Ilsa Adams. He is also survived by his siblings Ron Adams of Anchorage, Alaska and Ray Adams of Sacramento, California and siblings Kathie Robidou of Eugene, OR, Walt Brandon of Aloha, OR, John Adams of Eugene, OR and Susan Kellogg of Veneta, OR. Additionally he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. His niece Kelly Rae Ruiz from Sequin, Texas is traveling to Eugene with Allan's brother Ray and mother Carrol to attend his service. There will be a Celebration of Life for Allan at Mannahouse Church Eugene Campus May 17th.
