Anthony “Tony” Dennis Drakos, age 78 of Kingsport, entered eternity with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Tony was born on January 21, 1947, in Kingsport, TN to Nickolas and Elizabeth Drakos.  Tony was the owner / operator of Tony’s Place, and he was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian.   

Tony was a loving man, and he cherished his family.  He was a great man of faith, the UT Vols number one fan, and a proud Greek.  He was a friend to many and he was always willing to help someone in need.  The legacy and love that he left for his family and friends will continue on for generations to come.   

Tony was preceded in death by his parents.  Those left to cherish his memory are his former wife and mother of his children, Laurel Winchester Hicks; son, Nick Drakos; two daughters, Anastasia Drakos and husband, Brandon Haun, and Ramona Brown; five grandchildren, Sam, Pete, Emma, Alana, and Lincoln; special nephew, Ben Hicks; sister, Nancy Atkinson and husband, Tom; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.   

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home Kingsport.  A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.  Tony’s family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
