Alexis "Lexi" Martines Blendu
August 17th, 1987 - May 1st, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexis Martines Blendu, who left this world on May 1, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on August 17, 1987, in Phoenix, Arizona, Alexis lived a life that was vibrant, passionate, and full of love.
Alexis was the beloved daughter of Amy Marie Pickens - Krumpols and Robert Martines Blendu. Alexis is survived by her two sisters, Deziree Martines Blendu Witt and Taylor Ryan Pickens, who loved her immensely as a sister and a friend. Together, they created a bond that was unbreakable, filled with joyous moments, shared secrets, and a lifelong commitment to support one another.
As a devoted mother, Alexis's greatest joy came from her children, her daughter Raeanna Marie Blendu Musselman and her son Baby David. Her love for them was boundless, and she dedicated the best version of herself to being a guiding light in their lives. She often filled the room with laughter, and her infectious spirit was a source of strength and comfort for her family and friends.
In August 2021, Alexis turned her life around, embracing sobriety and dedicating herself to helping others find their paths. She began her journey at Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, where she shared her own experiences and inspired countless individuals who were struggling. Her goal was simple yet profound: to help as many people as she could and to keep smiles on everyone’s faces.
Alexis was known for her wild spirit, boundless enthusiasm, and her unwavering determination to live life on her own terms. She possessed an unapologetic attitude with a delightful “I don’t give a fuck” philosophy that inspired those around her to embrace their true selves. Alexis was a radiant light, constantly laughing, singing, and bringing joy to the lives of others. Whether she was painting, engaging in all thing's horror, buying another pair of shoes, or simply enjoying time with her daughter and sisters, her zest for life was palpable.
Though Alexis has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her laughter, her wild ideas, and her commitment to love and support her family will forever be cherished. She will forever be encapsulated in her unique sayings, " and that's fine", "sober hoes", and "merp". Alexis deeply resonated with Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and used this as a constant mantra.
Alexis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life lived on her own terms. Her untamed spirit will continue to inspire those who know her to embrace their own unique paths and to LIVE LIKE BLENDU. Though she may be gone, the echoes of her strength and warmth of her wild heart will resonate in the lives she touched. Lexi, you will be greatly missed and forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing you.
Alexis’ Celebration of life will be held at Crossroads Extension 244 N. Extension Rd. Mesa, AZ 85201 on May 24th, 2025, at 6:00pm. We invite all who knew and loved Lexi to join us in remembering the incredible impact she had on our lives.
