Ralph Sutton, a beloved long-time resident of Hilton Head and a gifted artist, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Ralph brought beauty and creativity to the Lowcountry through his vibrant artwork, capturing the essence of the island’s landscapes and community.
A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sutton of 55 years, and his cherished daughter, Kristen Sutton Johnson. Ralph was known for his kind spirit, generous heart, and unwavering passion for art. He touched countless lives through his work and community involvement, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and compassion. He always believed, "He who works with his Hands, his Head, and his Heart is an artist."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hilton Head Humane Association, reflecting Ralph’s lifelong love for animals.
His light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew him.
