Marilyn Joyce (Bergeron) Cothron of Garden Grove CA, age 91, died Thursday May 15, 2025 in hospital at Anaheim CA.
Marilyn was born June 19, 1933 in Temple, Maine. Her parents Catherine and Albert Bergeron, brothers Albert, Thornton, Myron and Michael all predeceased her. She is survived by brother Gary and wife Genoria, sister Gloria Dunn, brother Terry and wife Pamela, and sister-in-law Audrey, all of Maine. Marilyn was always proud to be from Temple Maine and held that as home in her heart.
A graduate of Farmington High School in 1951, she married Freeman Hayden of Mexico, Maine and they moved to California. They had four children: Son Freeman (Russ) of Ozark, AL; Daughter Clarita (Kippy) Predeceased; Daughter Kathy of Diamond Bar, CA; and son Brett of Anaheim, CA
She was later re-married to Ralph Cothron (predeceased) and they lived in Garden Grove, CA for many years. Marilyn earned Masters degree in Nursing, had obtained a pilots license, and worked at New Vista Health Services until her retirement.
She is also survived by five grandchildren: Christopher Abbott of Mexico ME; Allison Abbott of Rumford ME; Kristy Kelly Thornton of Columbiana AL; Jamie Allen of Dacula GA and Brett Hayden of Orange Park FL.
Burial of ashes to be at a future date at Temple Village Cemetery in Temple, Maine
