Michael T. Strailey, 81, of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025. He was a loving husband to the late Nancy for 56 years and a devoted father to Tracy and JR. Michael and Nancy shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Michael enjoyed being self-employed and took pride in managing all aspects of his and Nancy’s business. He was well-known for his extensive knowledge of high-quality art shows and was always willing to share his expertise and help fellow artists. Michael had the privilege of directing the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in the early 1980s. Above all, he prioritized his family and instilled in them the values of hard work and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Basilica of Saint Peter, located at 1529 Assembly St., Columbia, SC.
