Douglas "Doug" Trent Weatherfield
May 18th, 1956 - May 10th, 2025
Douglas Trent Weatherfield, loved by so many, passed away in Parker, Colorado on May 10th, 2025. Born on May 18, 1956, in Hawthorne, Nevada, Doug is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Rose Weatherfield, father In-law Edward Sandoval, grandson Brody Douglas Robinson, and nephew Nathan Weatherfield.
Doug lived a full and happy life. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He was a beloved uncle, teacher, and mentor. Fiercely loyal, he was always someone who could be depended upon. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, his son, Adam, his daughter, Megan, his son-in-law, Jed, his two grandsons, Trent and Declan, his two brothers, Craig and Tracy, and his sister, Debbie. Doug leaves behind so many others who also love and cherish him, so many who will miss his smile, sense of humor, and overall presence in their lives.
Doug was an avid cyclist and outdoorsman. He completed the Triple Bypass--a bicycle ride that stretches 118 miles over the Juniper, Loveland, and Vail mountain passes in Colorado. Doug found joy and freedom in the outdoors and truly loved cycling along winding roads or hiking through the beauty of nature. Doug's love for life and adventure never ceased. Even after a bicycle accident impeded his mobility years ago, Doug still found ways to be an adventurer. He skydived and traveled. He loved good food, craft beer, and wine tastings with his family. He enjoyed trips to California and Mexico, as well as his many other adventures with his brothers and family. Doug lived a life full of purpose. His family was the center of his world and he was the center of theirs. Knowing and loving Doug was a true blessing, and his impact on his family and friends is profound and will never be forgotten.
He passed away peacefully--surrounded by his loving family--just eight days before his 69th birthday. Though he lived a full and joyful life, he was taken too soon and will be greatly missed. His absence has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved him, but there is comfort in knowing that he is resting in true peace in heaven, free from all of the earthly constraints that got in his way.
Ride free, Doug. You were loved by so many and will be missed more than words could ever express.
