Calvin Bernard “Cal” Gosla II, age 67, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Oro Valley, Arizona.

Born on May 7, 1958, in Adak, Alaska, Cal’s life was shaped by a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong connection to his family. From the rugged beauty of his birthplace to the sunlit landscapes of Arizona, he carried with him a spirit of adventure and warmth that left a lasting impression on those around him.

Cal is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his son Calvin Gosla III and daughter-in-law Ally Simone; his cherished granddaughter Ruby; and his daughter Larisa Gosla. He is also remembered by his siblings: Deborah Baldwin (Roy), Connie Eastburn (Vern), Richard Gosla (Amy), and Mary Koike (Bruce). He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin B. Gosla I, and mother, Donna Jean Gosla.

An avid outdoorsman, Cal found joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing—activities that reflect both his love for nature and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Whether casting a line into a quiet stream or teeing off under an open sky, he embraced each moment with gratitude.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12 PM at Adair Funeral Home– Avalon, 8090 North Northern Avenue. A brief memorial service will follow immediately at Holy Hope Cemetery.

Cal’s presence will be deeply missed by those who shared in his laughter and adventures. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
