Thomas “Tom” Lenart
May 21, 1953-May 2, 2025
Tom L. Lenart, 71, of Oakdale, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with cancer.
He was born in St. Paul, MN to Lawrence and Mary Lou Lenart. Later, the family moved to Cumberland. There he worked with his father and brother running the family business for several years (L.J. Lenart and Son's Excavating.)
Tom then moved to the Twin Cities and was a Union Local 49 Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. From there he retired from the Able Fence Company. Tom had a passion for cars, especially Corvettes. He owned several and was always searching where he might find another, right to the very end.
Tom lived life to its fullest. He easily made friends with his great sense of humor and storytelling. He enjoyed having family and friends come to their Cumberland Lake home, entertain, fish, kickback and tell more stories…He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; daughter Misty (John) Coyle; son Joey (Megan)Lenart; daughter Mandy (Steve) Bergren; grandchildren Quinton, Austin, Brady, Taylor, Jadi and Owen. He is also survived by his loving mother Mary Lou Lenart-Ricci; brother Jim (Cindy Irons) Lenart; sister Lisa (Mark)Dvorak; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence “Larry” Lenart.
Funeral services will be at Sandberg Funeral Home Wednesday June 11, 2025. Visitation at 10:00am with service at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life to follow at the North St. Paul VFW Legion Hall at Noon
