John C Veltri

John C. Veltri, Jr was called home on May 12, 2025. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on September 9, 1931, to John Veltri, Sr. and Rose Veltri.

John grew up in Trinidad. He attended and graduated Hoehne High School.

John married his first wife Barbara Richardson in 1952. Where they had five children. Son’s John and Michael, Daughter’s Debbie, Diane passed shortly after birth and Kimberly.

John’s passion in life was farming and ranching. He had a small farm and ranch in Elmore, Colorado where he and Barbara raised their kids. He also was a Welding instructor at Trinidad State Junior College. His other jobs included working for CDOT and also Las Animas County Road crew.

John later divorced Barbara and moved to Ohio. Where he meant Roberta Jean Mariano and they later married and moved to Sun City Arizona in 1993. He lived there until October of 2020 and after Roberta’s death John moved to be closer to his family in Greeley.

He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Rose Veltri Sr., His daughter Diane Veltri, his sister Francis Langowski and both of his wives Barbara and Roberta.

John is survived by his Sister Josephine Atwater and Husband Edward, Son John Veltri and wife Patricia of Gill, Colorado, Daughter Debbie Veltri of Eaton, Colorado, son Michael Veltri and Wife Denise Kizmet, Kansas and Daughter Kimberly Veltri of Greeley, Colorado. Granddaughters Katherine Veltri and husband Pedro of Greeley, Co, Michelle Hershfeldt and husband Paul of Greeley, Co and Heather Lefor and husband Justin of Manhattan, Kansas and Grandsons Brian Veltri and wife Gen of Moore, Oklahoma, Kevin Veltri and wife Mel of Sugarland, Tx and Christopher Austin of Greeley, Colorado; 13 great grandchildren Alessandra, Carli , Hailey , Austin Veltri, Mackenzie and Vincent Veltri, Camden and Dylan Hershfeldt, Eva, Pedro and Noel Villalvilla and Carson and Morgan Lefor.

Family services will be held later this summer.
