Julie Watson Middleby, 54, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2025.
Born on August 21, 1970, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Julie brought joy, laughter, and warmth wherever she went. She spent over two decades as a dedicated employee at the St. Petersburg Times and, always striving for growth, proudly earned her associate’s degree in accounting at the age of 50. Most recently, she worked for the St. Pete Housing Authority, continuing her commitment to helping her community.
Julie was a vibrant spirit—resilient, bubbly, and a true social butterfly. Whether she was enjoying live music at the beach, dancing with friends, or striking up a conversation with a stranger, she had a unique gift for making people feel seen and welcomed. Her energy was magnetic, her laughter contagious, and her presence unforgettable.
She is survived by her loving children, Karin Golden and Larry Golden; and her siblings, Dan Middleby, Jeannine Strohmyer, and Amy Reeves. Julie’s legacy of kindness, perseverance, and joy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
