Evelyn Estell

Evelyn Estell passed away on Tuesday night May 13, 2025, at 95 years old, she is now at peace and resting in the Lord with her husband Robert of 70 years as well as her sister, Midge Pugh and two brothers, Irvin Owens Jr and Jack Owens. Her parents Mary and Irwin Owens were residents of Scranton, PA where she met her husband Robert and married in 1953.   

She was residing at Magnolia Manor Assisted Living since March 2023 after breaking her femur in August 2022. She is survived by daughters Lynn Terrell & Nancy Kelly of Land O Lakes, Florida. Her grandchildren are Sarah Lord of Lafayette Indiana, Matthew Terrell and Dylan Kelly of Land O Lakes.  

During her younger years, she worked for the Dupont Company before marrying in Wilmington DE. After becoming a mom, she then enjoyed being cafeteria lady at her daughters’ Elementary school during the time her children were young. Robert started his own construction company, Evelyn assisted him by keeping the books and scheduling appointments. She was also a fantastic cook and an awesome mom. 

Mom was a happy soul in spite of her physical limitations in her 90’s that took her hearing and limited her to a wheelchair. The assistants at Magnolia Manor remarked about what a sweet person she was as she appreciate everything they did for her.  

We will miss her terribly but we know she’s now walking, talking and seeing the splendors of heaven. She loved her family and our Lord Jesus with all her heart. Always wanted to keep our family together with family gatherings during holidays and birthdays. 

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4-6pm. at Loyless Funeral Home in land O' lakes, Fl. Burial will be private at Florida National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband Robert.
