Miriam Gaye Monroe was born on September 11, 1945, at the Samaritan Hospital in Sterling, Colorado. She entered eternal life on May 12, 2025, at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colorado.  

 

Miriam grew up in Iliff, Colorado.  She enjoyed spending time with her cousins in Sterling and her grandparents in Akron.  She was the Director of Volunteer Services at the Weld County General Hospital for many years. 

 

Miriam loved to travel, especially to the mountains of Colorado.  She also was blessed to visit many European Countries.  Miriam had an extreme love of reading.  She read many different types of books, truly anything she could get her hands on!  She enjoyed being with friends and family and was very caring and concerned about everyone she was close to and will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her. 

Miriam is survived by cousins Cheryl Grauberger of Brush, CO, LaJean (Chuck) Fehringer of American Falls, ID and Sandy (Allen) Miller of Napa, ID. 

Miriam was proceeded in death by her parents, Faye and Tom Monroe.
