Joseph DiMaggio (28) — a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend — passed away on May 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bob and Annette Jack, Gertrude and Sam DiMaggio, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His memory will be carried on by his wife, McKenna DiMaggio; his parents, Joe and Mary DiMaggio; his sister, Leah DiMaggio; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Joe was a man of many passions and insatiable curiosity. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy in nature. Though he enjoyed hunting and fishing, he often preferred to sit quietly among the trees, photographing wildlife and snacking on cookies. He had a deep love for animals and had a wide variety of pets over the years — from snakes, scorpions, fish, and spiders to birds, rabbits, cats, and dogs. His beloved fur-babies Montie, Maple, Oakley, Beni, and Augie, who he shared with McKenna, will miss him dearly.

Joe had a gift for learning and a drive to master whatever he set his mind to. As a child, he was known for taking apart toys and somehow reassembling them with fewer parts — and they still worked. That ingenuity stayed with him throughout life. He was an incredible cook and a talented artist in more ways than one (though he never followed a recipe or instructions). He was a skilled woodworker whose handmade furniture and home decor brought warmth and beauty to many. His hobbies were as varied as they were impressive — home-brewing, gardening, engine repair, metal working, and tinkering with his truck and boat.

Professionally, he was a “Joe of all trades,” earning numerous certifications and excelling in every role he took on. These included machine tool operator, CNC operator, tool and die machinist, confined space rescue, HAZMAT team member, and first responder. During his time at Molson Coors, Joe saved the life of a truck driver experiencing a medical emergency — a reflection of his courage and instinct to help others. Most recently, Joe was working as a heavy equipment operator apprentice, and truly excelled.

Joe had a way of making life more interesting. He could MacGyver anything, charm just about anyone, and always kept people laughing — sometimes with him, sometimes at him, but always out of love. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Joe will remember him for his kind heart, boundless energy, and overflowing generosity. He lived life at full throttle — with intention, wonder, and love.

A celebration of life will be held on the morning of Saturday, June 7th, from 9:15AM until 11:30AM, with a quick service beginning at 10:30AM, at the Frame Park Rotary Building, located at 1150 Baxter St., Waukesha, WI 53186.

In lieu of sending flowers to the funeral home, we kindly invite you to bring flowers or a plant directly to the Rotary Building yourself if you wish to do so.Alternatively, memorial donations in Joe’s name to Wisconsin’s Endangered Resources Fund are also warmly appreciated.
