Edward ""Ed"" Allen Klopfenstein
September 24th, 1965 - May 20th, 2025
Edward (Ed) Allen Klopfenstein passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was surrounded by family when he passed. Ed was born in Pomona, California on September 24, 1965, to Roger Allen Klopfenstein and Sue Ann Baker. He and his family moved from Corvallis, Oregon to Meridian, Idaho in 2002. In 2003, Ed had his first surgery – that allowed him to live an additional 22 good years raising his daughters and starting a company with his partner and the love of his life, Naho Nakashima.
He is survived by his wife Naho Nakashima; daughter Sora and husband Pat and two precious grandchildren; daughters Lila and Mia Klopfenstein; father, Roger Klopfenstein and wife, Cathie; sister, Leila Wilson and husband, Aaron; half-brother Guy Klopfenstein and wife Stacie; half-brother Gerald Klopfenstein; niece Rochelle Williams; nephew Zach Esterly and wife, Ami.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) at https://jacl.org/. The Idaho Japanese Association at https://idahojapaneseassociation.org/. The Idaho Japanese Language School at https://idhoshuko.org/. And Ed was only able to say goodbye to his family due to blood donations so please consider donating blood to the Red Cross at https://www.redcross.org/ to help others in need.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Linder Road Church of Christ, 1555 N Linder Rd, Meridian, ID 83642. Arrangements are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home.

This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building.
