Dario Giordanelli

Dario Giordanelli of Bogota, Colombia, and for many years of Tampa, Florida, lost his fight with cancer on Saturday, May 10, 2025.  He was 72 years young.

He is loved and survived by his wife, Pam Webb, his brothers Eduardo and Jose Giordanelli along with Jose’s wife Judith; nephews Mauricio and Alberto Giordanelli and their spouses, children and countless other extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ligia Amador Giordanelli and father, Jose Giordanelli.

Dario was a loving partner, brother, uncle and friend.  He worked for Northwest Airlines then Delta Airlines for over 20 years and was well respected by his coworkers.  He enjoyed the camaraderie and was always available to have a casual chat or help you through difficulty, as a friend or as a mentor.  Dario had a variety of interests and worked in computers, videography and very early in his career spent a short time as the vice counsel for the Colombian Embassy in Los Angeles.

He loved his family very much but didn’t visit as much as he would have liked.  He took several trips with friends to see the world and was hoping to take a few more.  Dario was a very private person and enjoyed being a home body, hanging out with pets, trying new and sharing old recipes, taking photos and nurturing his orchids.  Dario had a brilliant and gentle soul who saw the good in people. He had a smile that lit up the room along with comforting words and a warm hug when you needed them most. He will be forever in our hearts.
