Donna Annette Sprung

Donna Annette Sprung, 74, of Gloversville, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on July 24, 1950, in Gloversville to the late Donald and Jennie (Clark) Sprung. She graduated from Gloversville High School with the class of 1968. Her most recent employment was as an accounting clerk for VanNostrand & Co. CPAs, where she worked from 1990 until her retirement in 2023.

Donna enjoyed watching NASCAR, hockey games, knitting, and crocheting. More than anything, she loved spending time with all of her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Jennie and Donald Sprung; sisters Janet Sprung and JoAnn Samrov; as well as her brother David Sprung.

Donna is survived by her daughters Christine Ostrander and Tammy (Alan) Earley; sister Janice (Robert Sr.) Baumgaertel; brother Daniel (Kelly) Sprung; grandchildren Nathaniel Ostrander, Zachary Earley, and Tyler Earley; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 11am to 1pm at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. A service of remembrance will be held at 1pm. A private burial of her cremains will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to North Main Street United Methodist Church, 316 North Main Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 or to a charity of one’s choice.
