Edward "Ed" Williams, Jr

Edward (Ed) Williams Jr., 74, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, in Aurora. 

Born on July 8, 1950, in Norfolk, Virginia, Ed was the son of Edward Williams Sr. and Esther Lee Williams. He was raised in Virginia Beach and graduating from I.C. Norcom High School in 1969. 

Ed went on to serve his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army. A talented Avionic Mechanic instructor, he was frequently loaned to other branches of the Armed Forces due to his expertise and dedication. His military service took him to Korea, where he experienced one of the most profound moments of his life: meeting and marrying the love of his life, Yong Kim, on June 11, 1979. 

Together, Ed and Yong built a life grounded in love, strength, and family. Their bond was further deepened by the birth of their beloved son, Daniel Williams. After Ed’s honorable discharge in 1992, the family made their home in Colorado, where he continued to impact those around him with his quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. 

Ed is survived by his devoted wife, Yong Williams; his son, Daniel Williams, of Aurora, Colorado; and his cherished grandsons, Sterling and Luke Williams.  

He also leaves behind his brother, David Williams of Portsmouth, VA; sisters Edna Williams of Salt Lake City, UT; Ruby Irick of Columbia, SC; and Esther W. Tanksley of Chesapeake, VA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Esther Lee Williams, and his brother, Herbert Thomas Williams. 

Ed will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to service, his deep love for his family, and the quiet resilience that guided him through life. His legacy is one of warmth, integrity, and enduring commitment to those he held dear.

콜로라도주 오로라에 거주하던 에드워드(에드) 윌리엄스 주니어(향년 74세)는 2025년 5월 5일, 오로라에서 평안히 세상을 떠났습니다. 

1950년 7월 8일 버지니아주 노퍽에서 태어난 에드는 에드워드 윌리엄스 시니어와 에스더 리 윌리엄스의 아들로, 버지니아 비치에서 성장하여 1969년 I.C. 노컴 고등학교를 졸업하였습니다. 

에드는 미 육군에서 명예롭게 복무하며 나라에 헌신하였습니다. 그는 유능한 항공 전자기기 정비 교관으로서 전문성과 헌신으로 인해 타 군 부대로도 자주 파견되었습니다. 그의 군 복무 중 가장 깊은 순간 중 하나는 한국에서 생애의 사랑인 김용 씨를 만나 1979년 6월 11일 결혼한 일이었습니다. 

에드와 용은 사랑과 강인함, 가족을 바탕으로 삶을 함께 일구었습니다. 두 사람의 유대는 사랑하는 아들 다니엘 윌리엄스의 탄생으로 더욱 깊어졌습니다. 1992년 명예 제대 후, 가족은 콜로라도에 정착하였고, 에드는 조용한 강인함과 지혜, 가족에 대한 변함없는 헌신으로 주변 사람들에게 깊은 영향을 주었습니다. 

에드는 사랑하는 아내 용 윌리엄스, 콜로라도 오로라에 거주하는 아들 다니엘 윌리엄스, 그리고 소중한 손자 스털링과 루크 윌리엄스를 남기고 세상을 떠났습니다. 또한 버지니아주 포츠머스에 거주하는 형제 데이비드 윌리엄스, 유타주 솔트레이크시티의 누이 에드나 윌리엄스, 사우스캐롤라이나주 컬럼비아의 루비 아이릭, 버지니아주 체서피크의 에스더 W. 탱슬리, 그리고 많은 조카들과 대가족들이 유족으로 남아 있습니다. 그는 부모님인 에드워드 시니어와 에스더 리 윌리엄스, 그리고 형 허버트 토마스 윌리엄스보다 먼저 세상을 떠났습니다. 

에드는 봉사에 대한 변함없는 헌신, 가족에 대한 깊은 사랑, 그리고 삶을 관통한 조용한 회복력으로 기억될 것입니다. 그의 유산은 따뜻함, 성실함, 그리고 사랑하는 이들을 향한 변치 않는 헌신으로 오래도록 남을 것입니다.
