**Obituary for Debra Lee Copeland** March 7, 1961 - May 22, 2025 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Debra Lee Copeland (née Campbell) on May 22, 2025, in Auburndale, Florida. Born on March 7, 1961, in McMechen, West Virginia, Debra touched the lives of many with her unyielding spirit and compassionate nature. Debra’s journey began in the charming town of McMechen, where she embraced life with an exuberance that was infectious. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Glendale, West Virginia, in 1979, and her career spanned various roles including positions at Frito Lay, UPS, and Town n Country Realty. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she owned Debra's Shoes and More. For the last decade, she managed Storeright in Haines City, demonstrating her exceptional leadership and commitment to her work. A devoted mother and loving daughter, she nurtured a close-knit family that included her son, Jared (Teresa) Pultz, her mother June Devaul, and her late father Donald Campbell. She loved her step-daughters as her "bonus" daughters, Denay Clark and Dana Copeland. She cherished her relationships with her sisters, Shawn E. Noe (partner Rich Andrzejewski) and Dawn L. Tice (partner Frank Swirczynski), and took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Devanie and Hailey Pultz. Debra’s warmth extended to her nephews — Brandon Schwing (partner Tricia Amy Brown), Justin Schwing (fiancée Lexie Thatcher), and Chandler Perrer — as well as her great nephew Korbin Schwing and great niece McKenzie Schwing. Preceded in death by her life partner John Sharp and ex-husband Hal Pultz, her legacy of love remains profound. Beyond her career and family, Debra was an ardent animal lover and rescuer, reflecting her kind and considerate nature. Her laugh was a source of joy, and her spirited energy brought light to every room she entered. Debra had a talent for storytelling, often writing heartfelt tales about life, family, and her beloved dog, Jubilee. An avid cyclist, she found solace and peace while biking along nature trails, a sanctuary where she connected with the world around her. Her inquisitive spirit and loyalty were traits that defined her character, making her not only a cherished family member but also a beloved friend to many. Debra’s honesty and curiosity about life left a mark on everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever resonate in their hearts. Though Debra is no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on through her family, her love for animals, and the countless memories created over a lifetime of joy and laughter. We invite those who knew her to celebrate her life, remembering her kindness, passion, and the indelible mark she has left on our lives. In this time of mourning, we offer our heartfelt condolences to all who were touched by her grace. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she always gave so freely.
