Mary Ann Lippert
June 7th, 1945 - May 16th, 2025
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
Mary Ann Lippert, age 79, of Tucson, Arizona, entered into the eternal arms of her Savior on Friday, May 16, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Mary was born on June 7, 1945, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Harold and Lillian (Carlson) Hanson. She was baptized as a child of God on July 8, 1945, at Salem Lutheran Church in Inguadona, Minnesota. Her early years were spent on the peaceful shores of Mule Lake near Longville and later in Olivia, Minnesota—places that shaped her gentle strength and deep love for her family. Mary graduated from Olivia High School in 1963. That same year, she was crowned Queen of the Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival and was voted Miss Congeniality by her peers—early reflections of the grace, warmth, and kindness that would define her throughout life.
On November 28, 1964, she married Gary Abraham in Olivia, Minnesota. Later, on July 18, 1982, she married Gerald Lippert in Tucson, Arizona. Her greatest joy in life was her children. Mary poured her heart into raising her seven children, each of whom carry forward her strength, resilience, and faith: Amy (and Wade) Boltinghouse, Carla (and Dennis) Edwards, Peter Lippert, Emily (and Rocky) Lippert Ramirez, Holly Lippert (and Anthony Williams), Heather (and Himanshu) Patel, and Gerald (and Katherine) Lippert II. Mary’s legacy continues through her 15 beloved grandchildren: Jillian Freeland, Jordan Boltinghouse, Amanda Brozek, Abigail Black, Samantha Edwards, Brandon Lippert, Joshua Lippert, Hannah Williams, Brett Lippert, Shay Patel, Gerald Lippert III, Ishan Patel, Madeleine Lippert, Esther Lippert, and Eleanor Lippert; and to her 11 precious great-grandchildren: Vianne and Maeve Freeland, Lennon, Lathan, and Lowen Boltinghouse, Paisley, Neva, and Clayton Black, Rio and Luna Pabon, and Reya Brozek.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Harold and Lillian Hanson, her brothers Harold Jr. (Bud), Richard (Dick), Roland, Edward, her soulmate Gerald Lippert, and her cherished granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Lippert. We rejoice in the knowledge that Mary is now reunited with those she loved and missed in eternal peace.
Mary’s devotion to her children remained the enduring foundation of her life.
Even as Alzheimer's gradually dimmed her memories, it never touched the essence of who she was—a loving mother. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. We take comfort in knowing she is now fully restored and in the presence of her Lord.
“Her children arise and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28
