Gertrude (Trudy) Loqa
Gertrude was born February 9. 1937 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Her parents were George Greenhalgh and Lucile (Hytrek) Greenhalgh. Her Father was killed in a forestry accident when she was 6 weeks old. Her mother took her to Wyoming to live on her Grandparents farm. Her mother remarried when she was about three tp Ivan Gore. She became the sister of Ivetta (Gore) Watercott. She lived in Wyoming until she graduated from St. Mary's High School in Cheyenne. She moved to Arizona after getting her bachelors degree from St. Mary's in Kansas. It was here where she ,et the love of her life while getting her master's degree in elementary education. She married Harith Loqa on August 1, 1970. They were married for 40 years before Harith passed away after quite a few years of being afflicted with MS. Gertrude taught 4th grade in TUSD for 30 years. She had two children: Douglas J Loqa and Marie T Loqa and two grandchildren: Tyler A Loqa and Jayden G. Loqa.
