PennyJo Hoover

Pennyjo Ellen Hoover, 86, of Greeley, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Penny was born in Denver, Colorado to Joseph and Mildred Lucille (Folstad) Hall on April 18, 2021 and married Hershel Hoover on November 12, 1978. Penny spent most of her life in Colorado. Hershel and Penny moved to Greeley in 1972 where Penny worked 32 years as an Accounting Clerk at the Greeley Medical Clinic. She was ever grateful for her job and eagerly woke up early every day to serve. Full of life, Penny held dear her friends and family. Regardless if you were a new friend or an old friend, she found a way to ensure that you were a special gift. She had a way of making everyone in the room feel like they were the most important person there. She loved people and had a zest for life. She loved to laugh and had a very unique sense of humor. Penny’s life centered around our Lord and Savior. In her final months she was eager to be with the Lord and prepared herself through prayer and praise. Her ability to show strength, courage and awareness during her final days is a testament to who she was. PennyJo is survived by her children, Jamie (Dennis) Hoppe, Bill Graham, and Kendra (Jim) Rhoades; grandchildren, Jordan Shumoski-Wagner (Elliot), Shawn Shahan, William (Emily) Bastien, Tyler, Brittney, and Kaitlyn Graham, Jacob, Kyle, Candice and Cienna Rhoades; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Michaela (Gene) Wirick; and a large loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Kim Shumoski-Wagner; parents; and brothers, Jerry, Kenny, and Steve Hall. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00am on Sunday August 8, 2021 at Northern Colorado Crematory, Community Room- 700 8th St, Greeley, CO 80631
