Robert Charles Deaver

Robert Charles Deaver, 66, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away following a brief illness in Denver, Colorado on May 6, 2025. Rob was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Alice Juanita (Tomanka) Deaver and Richard Charles Deaver, Sr. on October 29, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Rob graduated from Kennedy High School in 1977 and Cornell College, Mt Vernon, Iowa, in 1981 with a degree in Education. He played varsity basketball both in high school and college. Rob went to work for Reed Rock Bit in Casper, Wyoming after graduation. After a few years of enduring the Wyoming wind, he was transferred to Sacramento, California. He went to work for Executone, Inc. and was a very successful salesman for them. He met Jeanette Tate, fell head over heals and they were married in May 1987. Their baby girl Breanne Alyse was born in October 1988. One of Rob and Breannes favorite pastimes was to search collect heart shaped rocks. He carried that forward and often offered up a special rock to family members for special occasions. He soon broke out on his own with his own business, City Telecom, installing complete phone systems. In 2005 he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to be closer to family. He worked his business until his time of death. Rob will be remembered for his wit of salesmanship, passion for life, love of family, the San Francisco 49ers and Sacramento Kings.

Surviving Rob is his granddaughter Maisie Charlotte Walker of Roseville, California, brother Richard Charles Deaver, Jr (Virgie Holmes-Deaver) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, nephews Richard Charles Deaver, III of Caldwell, Idaho, Michael Eugene Deaver (Ashley Erin Brady) of Tehachapi, California, dear cousin Dana Sherbondy of Aurora, Colorado, special friends Chuck Smith, Pete Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tom and Paula Carnell of Port Aransas, Texas, Linda Petrolowitz of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Maisie's Grandma, Jeanette Tate Deaver of Roseville, California. Rob is predeceased in death by his parents, his daughter Breanne Alyse Deaver, and niece Melissa Suzanne Bolton (Deaver).

Burial is planned at Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, near his dad and mom. No service is planned. An informal gathering is scheduled graveside at 1 PM, June 9, 2025. Please bring your stories and a chair.
