Lt. Col. Thomas Eugene White
April 28th, 1937 - May 6th, 2025
Lt. Col. Thomas Eugene White (Ret.), a proud American, devoted family man, and respected U.S. Army officer, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born April 28th, 1937, in Salem, Ohio, Thomas carried a strong sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism throughout his life. After a distinguished military career, he retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, having served his final post at Fort Huachuca, Arizona—a place that remained close to his heart. Military decorations include: Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Staff Service Medal and Vietnam Combat Armor Badge.
Known for his sharp wit and unwavering pride in his country, Lt. Col. White was as quick with a joke as he was with his salute. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: watching sports on television, sharing stories with friends and family, and escaping to the cool pines of northern Arizona during the summer months.
He was the brother of Marion Wright (Rod Wright) of California, proud father of Thomas M. White of Green Valley, Arizona and Christopher J. White (Julie White) of Tucson, Arizona, and the loving grandfather of three grandsons, and the delighted great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on not only in their lives but also in the many lives he influenced through his service and friendship.
A true patriot, Lt. Col. White will be remembered for his dedication, warmth, humor, and the deep love he had for both family and country.
A private salute will be held with military honors to commemorate his life of service and sacrifice.
