Michael Alan "Mike T." Terry
May 8th, 1979 - May 21st, 2025
Michael Alan “Mike T.” Terry, 46, of Lexington passed away under hospice care at home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. A Lexington native, he was born to Stephen W. Terry and MaryAnn Capley Terry on May 8, 1979. Mike was a Catholic Christian.
Mike was a graduate of Lafayette High School (‘97). He was a member of the Lafayette Band (Marching, Symphonic, and Jazz). He was part of five state band titles and he marched in the Macy’s parade in New York during his time with the band.
After he attended UK, Mike built a successful career in construction. He was a supervisor for IMI Concrete and was part-owner of Emerge Contracting. Emerge built several container homes in downtown Lexington, which were projects on which Mike had a leadership role.
Mike enjoyed old cars.
Mike is survived by his father Stephen W. (Christina) Terry of Lawrenceburg; his mother MaryAnn Terry (Kenneth Thompson) of Lexington; his former wife Jessica Merez of Texas; his sons, Chandler Martin of Lexington and Logan Martin of Texas; his sisters, Neisha Jett (Tim Livingston) of Dayton, Ohio and Amanda (Jason) Stewart of Lexington; his brother Austin Thompson of Lexington; his nephew Haiden Stewart of Lexington; great-uncle Matthew (Pat) Jordan of New York; and numerous cousins, extended family, and close friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mike’s life from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville.
